Daniel and I had the most amazing Thanksgiving break. We were so busy having fun and enjoying spending time with family that we didn't take a single picture!! We even finally remembered to take our camera with us, and then left it in the car. Just so you can all know what an amazing time we had, here are some of the highlights:
- Spending three wonderful days with Dan's family. - We had so much fun relaxing with my in-laws. We drove up Tuesday night (shout-out to Kristin for driving us since our car died!) and spend Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday night with them.
- Eating Thanksgiving dinner at Grandma and Grandpa McGuire's - Delicious! And there was so much family! I've never had Thanksgiving dinner with so much extended family! It was so fun.
- Eating more pie than one body should be able to handle. - I ate 6 pieces of pie on Thanksgiving alone. 1 pumpkin, 3 apple, 2 key lime pie. I regret nothing. And that doesn't include the pie contest we had with the Kolts' - yummmmmmmm.
- Seeing Robert, Chalece and Family for the first time in over a year. - It was great to see my brother and his wife, and their three adorable kids. We had lots of fun chasing them around the house, watching Christmas movies, and playing hide and seek with them. Dallin is the best hider ever!
- Meeting our new nephew Levi - what a doll! We were able to go to his baby blessing, as well as spend lots of time cuddling. My dad got some pretty cute pictures of Dan and Levi taking naps together.
- Black Friday Shopping - Dan and I didn't do anything crazy. We went in the middle of the afternoon on Thursday, just for fun mostly. We bought some gifts for families. Simple, but fun.
We really had a great holiday break. We didn't want to leave, but school must be finished. It is a good thing there are only 8 days left of school, otherwise I don't think I could make it. But what a gift it was to be able to relax for 5 full days.
