I can't believe you are an entire year old today. So much life has happened in the past year. So much love, laughter, exhaustion, excitement, amazement, wonder, craziness, learning, and growth.You made me a mother. You changed your dad and I from a newlywed couple into a true family. You taught me what the word 'hard' really means. You showed me what life looks like through the eyes of innocence. You taught me I could do more than I ever though possible, and that I will come out of any trial stronger.
Since the day you were born I have wanted to be a better person. You make me want to be the best I possibly can be. I'm working on getting my MPA because of you. I'm trying to get healthy for you, I'm working on gaining new hobbies and skills so that one day I can share them with you!
You are the best buddy I have ever had. You are my best friend, and I am yours. We do everything together. I love your laugh, how you clap when you think you have done something cool! I love your toothy grin (you have at least 7 teeth now!!), and your long hair that sticks out everywhere. Your smile lights up my whole life! I love taking you swimming, and to the store. We are always trying new things!
You have learned so many things this past month. You are opening drawer÷,s and cupboards, and pulling everything inside, out. You learned how to pull the TP off the roll the other day, and how to pull trash out of the trash can. You pull yourself up on everything, and like to walk around holding the furniture. But you hate trying to walk with mommy and daddy.
You are so precious to me Benjamin. This silly little letter on this silly little blog will never do my love for you justice. I never knew such a tiny little being could have such a huge impact on me. I love you with every part of me. I'm so grateful that I get to raise you and love you unconditionally.
