AMAZING SATURDAY

WOW!!!!!!!! We just had the most amazing Saturday ever!!!!! Just for a glimpse at what this past Saturday was like it was first and foremost our four month anniversary, it was the one year mark of me being home from my mission, we went shooting up Daniel's canyon, we went to the BYU Football Game (which at least the company and uniforms were awesome, the game not so much :) ).......... and we have a big new surprise at our house!!!


Shooting:

Well, we started off the day by loading up the car at about 9:00 am and heading up into the mountains, talk about beautiful!!!! The leaves have all changed color, there was snow up at at the high elevations, and it just felt like the beautiful Utah fall day that it was.  We spent about an hour and half shooting both the .22 and the 30.06, and boy was it fun...... p.s. Amelia is a natural markswoman, she hit everything she aimed at!!! I was very impressed!!! It was a wonderful time, and we even made a special target to celebrate our four month anniversary!!!

Football:

Amelia met up with some friends for lunch and they all had fun, while i ran home and cleaned the guns real quick, then we headed to the BYU vs OREGON St football game, where we met up with  Scott and Katie.  The game was really fun.  BYU for the first time in history broke ranks with its classic white and blue and had blackout game jerseys (I personally really like the jerseys). It was way fun chilling with Scott and Katie, and we even went and said hi to Grandpa McGuire, and Stephen and Jenny. It was a great time!!!!!!...... (to avoid ruining the moment and post we won't mention details about the actual football playing or game).

THE BIG SURPRISE:

Amelia has been joking around since the day we moved into our new apartment that we should get a dog.  We both knew when we got married that we really wanted a dog, but we figured it wouldn't happen till we had a house or something like that.  Yesterday i was finally like, "Hey Amelia, lets get a dog!!!!" we both got super excited, and since we already had spent about two weeks looking on KSL and Craig's List for dogs, we kinda already had an idea of what kind of dog we wanted/could get because of our apartment and stuff....... Well after looking for about an hour we found the cutest little Dachshund in the whole world, that was all caught up on shots, registered, and free to a good home (the current owners have a little baby, and its allergic so they couldn't keep her).... well, we called and asked some questions, drove to Spanish Fork to take a look at her, and what do you know...... OUR FIRST DOG came home.  We named her Paisley and she is already loving our apartment and being with us!  She's the calmest dog i've ever met, she doesn't bark, she doesn't chew things, she's house trained, she loves cuddling, she's very obedient, and she loves going on walks!!!
