Weekends :)

Whoops....my camera is dead, I didn't feel like charging it, even though I had ample opportunity to...but on the bright side, I had an awesome weekend! I guess everyone is just going to have to take my word for it, because I'm currently lacking the visible proof to share with you guys.

So Friday was date night. Dan and I had made a deal that if we didn't eat out, or buy any food besides groceries, we could go out to a nice restaurant for date night after two weeks. And tonight was the night!! We went to Kyoto, which is a fun little Japanese steakhouse. And, it was SO much fun! They cook the food on the grill right in front of you, and it is so delicious! Dan got chicken and shrimp, I got steak. A bonus to going out to eat with other people is that you can order different things, and then share :) Its the best, because this way dinner is never boring!!

After dinner we were going to go and rent a tandem bike. But apparently a YSA Stake had rented out the WHOLE place. So we weren't even allowed to get a bike and leave. Sad. Day. Luckily for us though Friday night also happened to be Chalk the Block, so we just ended up walking around all the stores, and looking at people's sidewalk chalk art. There was some pretty amazing and legit stuff! It was a blast . . . until Dan made me go into Halloween City. Which is just a giant Halloween store, but they have a ton of creepy stuff. And I don't really like creepy-Halloween. I'm more of a fun, cutesy-Halloween person. After that we just headed home and watched the original Star Wars. What a fantastic night!!

Saturday was a fun day too. Well, kinda. I was busy all morning with school and studying . . . but when I got home Dan had cleaned the entire apartment! He is so amazing! Then on Sunday was the temple dedication. Having church from 9-10:30 was fantastic. We had the whole day to just chill! We went to Lehi at 3 to celebrate Dan's great Grandma's 96th birthday! Isn't that amazing!!! It was fun to see family and just have time to relax!!

We had a great weekend, and hopefully sometime this week I'll find the urge to plug in my camera so the next post can include some pictures :)

  1. How fun! If you want to come walk around my house I bet I can find some little people to draw you some more side walk chalk art. I went to the 9:00 temple dedication too...it was awesome to be done by 10:30 and of course my kids think they won the lottery with having NO church. Oh and Happy Birthday to Dan's Great Grandma although she's a young chick compared to Mema who is 98. =)
