Dan and I were lucky enough to spend last weekend in sunny San Diego, California! My parents were bomb.com and let us tag along with them and my younger sister for a 5 night 4 day adventure. On Friday afternoon we headed out, after Dan had worked for 6 hours and I had taken a final. I guess we are just a couple of crazy kids :) We drove straight to San Diego, and it probably took us about 11 hours. We were lucky to have gained an hour on the drive, but we were still exhausted and went right to bed when we arrived.
Warning: Lots of Pictures . . . a lot a lot!
The oh-so exciting drive :)
The Saturday after we arrived in San Diego we got straight to partying :) We drove everywhere with my parents, in their tiny Honda Civic. That by itself was an adventure!! Our first stop was the coolest Farmer's Market I've ever been to. They had so many different vendors. Dan's favorite was the one selling Brazilian chocolates. We ate lots of food, and I also got a really cute maxi-skirt. It was a total blast. I loved all the excitement and being outside. It was nice to be away from school, soaking up the sun, and spending time with family. It was a much needed break for both Dan and I. Also...look it how dang good looking he is. I'm sure the luckiest girl in the world.

My parents also took us out to eat at Red Lobster that first day. Peeps - let me tell you how awesome my parents are! They totally spoiled Dan and I while we were in San Diego. Like spoiled rotten. We sure had a blast getting to spend extra time with them, and we appreciate everything they did for us the entire vacation! They made the trip amazing!

And then that same evening we went to see Man of Steel . . . did I already say spoiled rotten?
On Sunday we went and spent time around the San Diego LDS Temple. It sure has pretty architecture!

Then we headed over to Balboa park where there were free activities to do. There were these international houses that we walked through and they had treats that we could have. In the China house there were two Chinese women who would write English names in Chinese. It was pretty cool, but I can't for the life of me remember how to pronounce mine.

Monday was another AMAZING day! We got to go to Sea World!! Dan had been before when he was younger, but this was my first of time! It was awesome! I loved it. The animals were cool, and the shows were amazing. My favorite was Shamu. The killer whales were amazing. I was really impressed at everything that those animals are able to learn!

I didn't take anymore pictures on Tuesday, but we just hung out on the beach some more. We found a lot of shells, including a whole sand dollar with a barnacle on it. It is really cool looking! We also went to the most amazing seafood restaurant. It was delicious!
Then on Wednesday we headed home. We had one of the best vacations ever. (as a side note we found this Brazilian restaurant - Brazil by the Bay - it was authentic, and super delicious! I think it was probably Dan's favorite part of the trip!) We had such blast, and we're so grateful that we were able to crash the vacation! Thanks again mom and dad! Now it is back to real life and work! Thank goodness for the break though!
