Book Club

Daniel and I have started our own family book club. We've got books planned out for the next year, and we're so excited! Both of us have been book worms since we were little (Go check out Dan's Pinterest - he is in the process of finding every book that he has ever read). This will give us a good excuse to keep reading books, as well as a chance to discuss them.

July's book is The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. We already owned this book, and Dan's cousin and aunt really love it, so we thought we'd give it a try. It is a pretty big book (roughly 500 pages) so it was a lot to take on this month, but we are rocking it! 

Daniel has actually already finished the book. He is a lucky duck because on days where he mows lawns all day at work he listens to the audio versions of the book and they just fly by!! We were at page 150, and then he listened to it for one day and was basically done. I'm a little behind. I'm about half way, so I need to kick it into gear for the next week and a half to get it done!

We are also excited for August's book. We're going to read Ender's Game since the movie is coming out soon. Harrison Ford is going to be in it, so I get kind of giddy thinking about it :) We've both read the book before but it has been such a long time for us that we want to reread it before seeing the movie.
