It's a . . .

Dan and I finally got to see our little baby on an ultrasound! It was the first ultrasound we have received, and it was amazing! The minute the scanning wand was put on my stomach this big ol' spine showed up on the screen! It was the most amazing thing in the entire world! I personally think our baby is the cutest thing in the world! I know I might be biased, but its true. I fell in love the moment I saw that mini-McGuire squirming all over the screen!

I loved every moment of the ultrasound, and it was over way too soon for me! Here are some cute pictures that we got:

This is the best profile we got. The features are the most defined. I think that nose is just the cutest thing!!

Baby was even waving at us!!

Seeing mini-McGuire, that there was actually a baby in there, has made everything so much more real!! I am amazed at what my body can and is doing!!

And then, of course the one shot we were very excited for:

You can only see one of the legs, because the other was bent upwards, but there isn't really a question about what we are having!!!

Its a boy!!!!!

We made these cupcakes for Dan's family to eat before we told them! 

We are so excited!! I had definitely been thinking it was a boy for the past few weeks, and Dan couldn't really make a decision! Neither of us cared, as long as baby is healthy! But knowing it is a boy is so amazing! We are so excited and feel so blessed! We just can't wait to meet the little guy! As far as names go, we are really loving the name Benjamin, but only little baby boy in our arms will confirm if that is his name or not!

After we found out Dan and I had a lot of fun shopping and celebrating!! 

We couldn't be happier! February seems a lot further away now though. I can't believe I won't get to meet my son (I have a son!!) for another 5 months! But that is ok I guess, because he definitely has some more baking to do.
