A Baby Shower

This last weekend my mom threw me a baby shower. It was just a small gathering of her siblings and some of my cousins, but it was so much fun! It was great to see everyone who came, and Dan and I received a lot of very nice and thoughtful presents. It is amazing how blessed we have been. We have been given so much for Baby Benjamin, and we are incredibly grateful.

No party is complete without delicious food!! We had chicken salad sandwiches, they were so yummy!! My mom also made some cute cupcakes!

It was a super fun afternoon, and I'm grateful to those who came! We really had a great time!!

Now for a really quick bump-update, although I don't have a picture. I am 37 weeks tomorrow, which is considered full-term. Basically, this baby has permission to show up any time! I am starting to get so impatient :) I just can't wait to meet baby Benjamin, see his face, and kiss his little cheeks!! I had a doctors appointment this past Monday, and everything went well! I asked the Dr. to tell me how big he thought baby was. Just by feeling baby through my belly, he guessed about 6.5 lbs!! That seems so crazy to me. I can't believe something that big could be inside of me!! Haha, it is such a crazy thought! I am excited to see how big Benjamin is when he actually arrives!! The baby is supposed to gain about a half lb. each of these last weeks, which means we're looking at around 8 lbs of baby when Benjamin shows up :)

As far as being 37 weeks pregnant, it is exhausting. I feel ginormous, nervous, excited, and just ready to be done. It is hard to get a good nights sleep because it is nearly impossible to get comfortable. Benjamin moves like crazy. There is almost always a foot jabbing into one of my sides. It kind of hurts, but it is pretty awesome to know that he is growing big and strong. I'm trying to keep myself busy with activities each day while Dan is in school, but its getting harder. There have been many times where I have dropped something during the day, and then I wait until Dan gets home to pick it up for me :) Its just easier that way sometimes! hahahaha. Anyway, I really just can't wait for this baby to show up. I'm counting the days, and they seriously aren't going fast enough!
