I love this little man so much!! This last month Benjamin has gotten to be SO much fun!! I really fall in love with him more each and every day. I just can't believe how dang cute he is!! It is exhausting to be a mom, but so worth it. He is so fun and I love watching him grow and develop.
This month I feel like so much has changed!! Benjamin has learned about his tongue, his hands, and his feet!! He loves to suck on his right pointer finger, he sticks his tongue out when I stick my tongue out at him, and he has learned to play with his feet. It has been so fun to watch him discover new parts of his body and how to control them!
He is getting really good at laying on the ground and playing with toys for 20 or 30 minutes! This is very nice for me because I get a chance to work on other things. He still struggles with adequate weight gain, but he is happy and active, so I'm not too worried.
We started Benjamin on solids! He is pretty good at eating with a spoon now, even though we have only given him them 6 or 7 times. He mostly eats bananas and rice cereal. The solids have started clogging him up a little bit, so we have given him prune juice too :) Hopefully the solids will start to chub him up! We have also switched him to soy formula . . . which is NaStY!! It reeks so bad. He doesn't really like how it tastes either, but we are hoping with time he will get used to it! I'm really hopeful that this will stop the mass puking and maybe help him gain some more weight.
Baby Benjamin has a GIGANTIC head! 94 percentile to be exact!!! He is definitely a Kolts'! I had to buy an adult large bike helmet as a Kindergartner. Like mother like son! Benjamin has also learned to roll from his back to his stomach!! He now sleeps on his tummy, which is awesome!! He has sleep through the night like 5 times in the last week! He will sleep from 9:30 to 7 in the morning!! It has felt great!! And then I'll feed him and the two of us will go back to sleep until 9 or later!!!
