A Family Weekend!

I get a little itchy to get out of the house during the week, especially if Dan takes the car a lot to work and school. I would definitely classify myself as a home-body. I love being home, I love coming home after being gone, and I'd rather sleep in my own bed than just about anywhere else. But, I also need to get out every single day and do something. This is something I have learned about myself since having Benjamin. It's not enough to just be busy, but I actually need to get out of the house too.

Anyway, this long introduction is to explain that last weekend I tried to plan a lot of fun stuff for my cute little family to get out and do! I live for the weekends these days :) I usually let myself have a small break from school and Dan is around to hang out with!! Double the awesome-ness. 

On Friday this last week I babysat my nephew Seth. He is three years old, and we had a lot of fun together! I took him to story time at the library (I think he was a little old for it, but I love taking Benjamin and didn't want to miss it!), then we went and picked up Dan. We all went to Cracker Barrel for lunch. It was delicious, of course!! And Dan and I kind of had fun testing out being parents to two! Hahahaha. We also took Seth swimming at the rec center. At first he was nervous and kind of scared of the water, but he eventually warmed up and had fun too. The rec center is so great! It has an awesome kiddy pool and an indoor lazy river! Benjamin likes the water too!

Seth's daddy eventually came and picked him up, and then Dan and I went to a Pumpkin Palooza. It was fun, but it will be so much more fun when Benjamin is a lithe bit bigger! He will be able to actually enjoy all the kid activities, rather than just Dan and I looking at them and thinking how fun it'll be one day :P Haha. 

On Saturday Dan worked in the morning, but in the afternoon we drove up to Snowbird. They were having a Chili cook-off. Their top 5 chef's each cooked a different recipe, you a bought a little sampler of each, and then you got to vote on the best one. Of course, we also had to buy a slice of pumpkin cheesecake. It was all delicious! I think the cheesecake was Benjamin's favorite!! Haha.

It was beautiful up at Snowbird! Absolutely perfect weather. We walked around for a bit, and played at a little playground with Benjamin. He loved this little green car so much fun. I think he felt pretty cool in his bomber jacket and car! He is my little stud :)

We had such a fun weekend!! The weather is starting to turn colder, so the outdoor activities are quickly coming to an end! We are sad about that, but Benjamin and I are both winter babies, so we are excited!!
