Benjamin is at such a fun age right now! He is crawling everywhere and starting to pull himself onto his knees next to furniture. For some reason he loves cords, so if he ever catches sight of one he books it straight there, and tries to chomp on them! I have to be on high alert all the time. He loves to eat solid foods. There isn't anything that I have noticed that he dislikes, except for little pieces of anything. He won't put ripped up pieces of bread, fruit, or anything in his mouth. But for some reason he loves whole french fries and pickle spears. He will grab those and eat them completely gone, but not pick up a small piece of bread! What a funny little guy he is! He also loves to play with toys and go on walks. I'm sad now that it is getting so cold, we won't be able to do that as much! But he has been loving the rec center daycare, and the ladies in there are so good with him! Every time I pick him up they tell me how cute and fun he is! I used to be scared when he was small and cried all the time that I would never be able to leave him, so it is such a relief that he is good without me!
Benjamin makes me laugh all the time. We have been working on waving lately. Anytime he catches a glimpse of himself in the mirror he will get super happy and wave to himself! It is just the cutest thing in the whole world. We are also working on high fives and giving kisses. He is so cute. When I give him my hand and say high five, he pounds on it with both hands and squeals! It has been a lot of fun to watch him grow and develop! We feel so blessed to have him in our lives!
I weighed him on our home scale, and he was 20 pounds exactly! Still a small little guy, but I wouldn't have it any other way! Our 9 month appointment isn't until the end of the month, so we will see what he is then!
Benjamin loves it when daddy comes home in the evenings. When he catches sight of Dan his whole body lights up and he smiles and squirms to get to daddy! It is such a sweet sight.
