One Month Update

I can not believe Dani May is already a month old! The past month has flown! And it has been one of the best months of my life!! Dani has healed my soul this past month. Benjamins labor, delivery, and first year were so hard. I was terrified of having more kids for a long time. Dani has really ended those fears and brought me so much joy!!

At one month old Dani weighed in at 11 lbs 2 oz. She has gained 2 lbs from birth!! She is a little chunk, has the cutest double chin, and some rolly polie thighs. 

So far Dani has been a great nurser!! She loves to eat!! Because of Benjamins feeding issues, I only nursed him for 6 weeks. It is looking like Dani and I will be much more successful. My goal is 6 months, but once we reach that I will push for a year or more!

Dani loves to sleep and eat. She has started giving out the most precious smiles. While she loves to sleep, she has a nice awake period from 10 pm - 2 am most days. We are trying to work on that one.....

Here are some photos of Dani at one month. They are taken on a beautiful quilt that Dani’s Grandma Kolts made her. The bunny Dan, Benj, and I made for her the day we found out we were having a girl. I’m using it mostly for size comparisons :)

Dani is a very good baby. She cries if she needs something (food, diaper change, sleep), but once those needs are met she is very content. 

Benjamin absolutely adores his little sister. He is always telling me how tiny and cute she is. He wants to play with her so bad, but is learning to be soft and calm around her.
