My two week update for Benjamin is a little behind, simply because I wanted to wait until after his 2 week check-up to post, so I would have his stats to include. So even though he was technically 2 weeks on Friday, his appointment wasn't until this past Monday. It was a hard day for him, he got his heel pricked for some blood tests and got circumcised. Actually, that part was probably harder for me than for him. Thankfully my sister Anna came along as moral support, and Benjamin has really been doing great since!
Anyways, without further ado, here are Benjamin's stats:
Weight: 8 lbs 11.5 oz - 49%
Length: 21 in - 65%
Head: 36.5 cm - 64%
So, all in all, Benjamin is a nice healthy growing little boy. He was born at 8 lb 8 oz, but we left the hospital at 8 lb even. So he has gained 11.5 oz in two weeks since coming home, and we are very happy about that! He has also grown an inch! He is getting bigger and bigger before our very eyes!!
The second week with Benjamin in our home has been a good one. He and I made lots of trips to my sister Anna's house to spend time with her. We went on walks, took a trip to the store, and had lots of fun adventures :) But of course, with a newborn, most of our time was spent nursing, changing dirty diapers, and snuggling in our rocking chair. Benjamin is really a cute little guy, and we are so in love with him!! Dan and I are both excited to watch him learn and grow, and we can't believe he is all ours!!
