We had a really fun and quiet Thanksgiving this year! With me being 37 weeks pregnant we decided not to travel anywhere and just stay home the three of us! My parents had gone out of state to visit my sisters for the holiday, and Dan’s family was in Northern Utah with the Mcguire extended family.
I spent the days before Thanksgiving cooking pie and rolls. I had the absolute cutest little helper the whole time!!
Benjamin loved making the pie with me, and talked about it non-stop for the next few days. But for some reason, I couldn’t convince him to even try a bite 😂 2 year olds!! Haha.
On Thanksgiving morning Dan got up and put the Turkey in the oven, made the salad, and finished up anything else that needed to be done. We watched the Maceys Day Parade while the food cooked. Benjamin was enthralled with the parade and performances. It was really cute to watch him!!
Dinner turned out amazing!! It was so yummy!
We have felt so blessed this year, and it is nice to have a holiday dedicated to gratitude for those blessings. We enjoyed going around the table and sharing what we each were thankful for.
After dinner we went to see the new Disney/Pixar movie Coco. Benjamin loved the snacks and popcorn that he got!!
After the movie we did a little bit of early Black Friday shopping. It was fun and crazy! And we got basically all of our Christmas shopping done, so that is a relief!!
We had a wonderful holiday, and while we weren’t surrounded by tons of extended family, it was actually a lot of fun to be just the three of us and be able to look back on how blessed our little family has been this year!!
