Holy smokes. Lets talk about one of the best date nights that Dan and I have had in a long time. Friday night was such a blast! For our one year anniversary Daniel gave me tickets to go see Brad Paisley at the Usana Amphitheater. We were both so stoked, because we're kind of crazy country fans. Dan always tells me that when we were dating and he found out I liked country, he was super excited.
Our first stop of the evening was Culver's. It is one of my favorite fast-food stops, and it has kind of become a family-tradition of sorts. I worked at Culver's in Wisconsin when I was in high school. (Culver's was founded in Wisconsin and they are as common as McDonald's there) Ever since freshman year I have taken friends and visitors to the Culver's in Midvale. They now have one in Lehi as well as West Valley, so if any of you are ever out that way, I'd suggest giving it a try.
Daniel got the Reuben and a Chocolate Concrete with peanut butter and Reeses mixed it. Yumm!!!
I got chicken strips, with like 5 different dipping sauces. And of course Dan and I always share, so that way we get to try a little of everything.
Usana!! After dinner it was on to the concert! We got there a little after six and rolled out our blankets and sat on the grass. We had some weirdo's around us, but it was all good. We enjoyed talking and relaxing until the concert started at 7.
Delicious cotton candy! yumm.
So excited!
The first opening group was from Illinois, and I had never heard of them. They weren't too bad.
The next opener was Lee Brice! I was impressed because I feel like Lee Brice is already a legit, established singer. For those of you who don't know he sings this song. To be honest, he's better on youtube than in person. He just talked loud and yelled, not a whole lot of singing.
Next up was Chris Young, who was actually awesome! He did great. And again, I can't believe he was opening for Brad Paisley. He deserved his own concert. Here is one of my favorites that he sings.
And then finally, it was Brad Paisley time!!! It was so good! He sounded amazing! He is now on the top of my country singer list. Look up any one of his songs, I probably love it. Top on the list are: Whiskey Lullaby, Waiting on a Woman, or Then
I loved the concert so much! And was so grateful to Dan for getting me the tickets. Best. Husband. Ever.
