This is our very first summer with a child. And while Benjamin is still pretty young to be able to do much, I can tell that every summer is going to get more and more fun as he gets older and more active!! Despite his 'youngness' we have been doing some fun summery activities.
On one of our walks I saw this duck and her cute teenager ducklings. She wasn't too fond of me stopping for the picture. She had 10 babies, bless her soul!! Haha, I can't imagine trying to wrangle that many kiddos at on time!

Benjamin and I both joined the summer reading club! His is based on the number of minutes I read to him (which I really need to do better, but he loses interest quickly) and mine is based on the number of books over 100 pages that I read. I also need to do better at my own reading. But its hard to find the time.
We went to the watermark one day after Dan got off of work. It was fun. A little chilly for Benjamin, but after the initial dip into the water he liked it just fine!! And he was soooo cute! He looked so grown up to me.

This evening we went to a cook out for our church. They had hot dogs and hamburgers. We all had to wear name tags. Benjamin obviously loved his :)
We are loving summer so far and are looking forward to lots more fun times!
