This weekend was full of family and good times. I didn't take any pictures, but trust me . . . Dan and I had a great time!!! On Friday night we called up Dan's parents and invited them to meet us in Sandy at a Brazilian restaurant. It was a cute little place called Sweet Spot Bakery and Cafe.
On Friday nights they have all-you-can-eat Brazilian pizza. I was kind of skeptical at first . . . I mean, what is Brazilian pizza anyway?!?! But we got it, and it was delicious! I think my favorite part was the delicious cheese on top! All four of us had fun sitting around and talking. Dan and his dad both served LDS missions in Brazil, so the enjoyed getting to back, if only momentarily. After dinner the four of us sat outside and talked for quite awhile. It was great to catch up and enjoy each other's company.
On Saturday Dan worked for six hours in the morning. Then we basically spent the whole afternoon anticipating the BYU vs. Utah football game. Scott and Katie were nice enough to invite us to their home to watch the game since we don't have cable! We had some good food and desserts and just talked and hung out. Scott and Katie find out the gender of their baby tomorrow, and we are so excited for them! We all made guesses on what it would be...
Then today we went over to Dan's aunt's home for dinner! It was so much fun to get a delicious home cooked meal! They are so nice and sweet to have invited us over! We love living close enough to family that we can just run over for dinner in the evenings!!
Then the rest of the night has been filled with lots and lots of homework. I am convinced that school is going to kill me this semester. It has been so stressful this far! Luckily I have Dan, who always supports me and helps me out! We were blessed to have such a great weekend full of family and friends! Now...back to the grind!
Dude we would have helped! But remember you told us you didn't need us? Love the new place!! The kids are so excited for a sleep over!
