Wednesday was another busy day. All five of us woke up bright and early and drove into Minocqua. We started out at Paul Bunyan's Cook Shanty. It is a fun little restaurant with all you can eat breakfast foods that is set up to look like a lumberjack lodge. So Fun!
The donuts are by far the best part of the meal!! They are so delicious! They also have all you can eat pancakes, french toast, sausage, eggs, and hash browns.
After Paul Bunyan's Daniel and I headed towards Marshfield. I wanted to show him where I was from and the house I had grown up in. It was an interesting trip. Dan enjoyed it, but it was bittersweet for me. A lot of really good memories, but it was so different feeling now that it is no longer my home. It was still cool to show him where I came from. It kind of reminded me of this song. (the beginning of the video is a little weird, but the song is good!)

We also went bowling while we were there. Marshfield apparently has one of the cheapest bowling alleys. We went there because they have the best deep-fried cheese curds in Marshfield, and obviously Dan needs to experience that! It was fun! and Dan also beat his high score, so that was fun!

We also stopped at Weber's Farm for fresh cheese curds and an ice cream cone. We even bought extras to take back home with us.
That evening for dinner we met up with some of my old high school friends. Elisa was in town for a little bit after having traveled through Germany for a term. Priya and Parijat drove up from school. It was so much fun to see them, and have the chance to catch up. We had a good time eating at El Mezcal. It was there first time meeting Dan, and it was Dan's first time meeting any of my pre-college friends. It was fun to see where everyone was headed and what we were all up to!
They were some of my best friends throughout high school. It made me a little bit nostalgic for those days that were so simple and easy.
Daniel and I then headed back to the cabin, and got there kind of late. It was a busy day and we were exhausted at its close!
